Why you should be careful to not frighten the birds!

Hi there bird lovers and enthusiasts,

Why you should be careful not to scare the birds?

Well it's a good question and reminds me of the time we were trekking through the Igauzu Falls National Park when not very long into the trek we were surprised to come across 2 Toucans happily parading in front of us!

Never seeing Toucans before we became over excited and started whispering loudly things like "quick get the camera!" or "gosh, where's my phone?" "where's the binoculars?"

Of course we were wanting to get a few snaps of these incredible looking birds!

SO being too noisy whilst being trying to be quiet, then being too fidgety whilst rummaging through bags to find equipment isn't very sensible!

Unfortunately we scared these amazing birds away and before we knew it they were gone!

No pictures, no snaps, no views in the binoculars and boom, just like that they took off!

Whilst we trekked many hours in the Igauzu Falls National Park we were never lucky enough to see the Toucans again.

So the point is if you are out trekking and hoping to spot some rare wild life, then dont be like us be prepared and have everything in hand that you might want to use when the magic time of spotting a rare animal arises.

It sounds basic but a simple thing like good planning means the difference between me being able to share here an actual photo as opposed to a stock image!

What rare animals have you been lucky enough to spot? Let us know here we would love to hear from you!

Thank you so much
